We’re now officially on a world rally championship stage. For real!

This morning everything has gone to plan; the car started, we avoided the cops who were lying in wait for the home2rome crowd and our hang overs are recedeing. It’s a perfect morning in other words. Looks like we are going to have a nice day too. Last night was a blast, but it looks like people’s cars are dying today; we saw one banger at a garage this morning. Ah well…
Sorry, but seeing as we’re drunk, we have no shame: The charity drive is still going, so tell all your friends. We cannot believe how generous people have been, it really is amazing. Together we’ll raise over 4000 pounds towards MS. That’s just fantastic! Thank you so much once again.
It’s twenty to twelve. We’re drunk. We’ve talked about genetics, the european union, food, other teams, ginger people, beer, traffic wardens, beer, starter motors and things starting with g. Yeah, and stuff. Stew says: ‘oh no’
That’s it, almost. We’re now just north of Montelimar, having put 600 miles behind us today. Generally the ride’s been smooth for most teams; bonnets have stayed down… mostly. One speeding ticket, though, but not for us
We’ll update you as it happens.
This entry is posted on the road, through opera mini, on a mobile, so it’s bound to be a little short. We’re off, after a shaky start. This morning the car just would not start. We were sitting in the hotel car park, freezing our bums off, and the car did, well, just nothing. Hmmm. So, the battery isn’t dead, might be a bad electrical connection. But it worked in the end, and we’re driving now.
So it’s 12:20, we have had our Thursday Curry and were about to hit the road. The stickers didn’t arrive so for the time being we will be driving an unmarked vehicle. Had a sudden boost on the sponsorship front as well so thanks to everyone that has contributed so far.. watch this space for more news as we head off to todays desination, Calais. so long….
The car, already a freakishly beautiful sight to behold, will soon get even funkier. Prepare for photos, but know now, oh ye mortal of total insignificance, that it’ll be cooler still.
Ok, the car is sort of ok-ish, with a twist! It’s been to a garage, who okay’ed the breaks (”It’s just an old, slow car”) and changed the battery. Of course, we’re adding value to the car by even having someone look at it, so clearly we have to be somewhat careful how much we do it.
It should be ok for a one-way trip to Rome, though, so we’re on track.
I could tell you all about it, but why don’t you see it with your own eyes?
