The Flamin’ Pinata team consists of four guys, all employees of UK game developer Rare Ltd.
On Thursday the 19th of October, we will go from Calais to Rome in a car worth no more than £100 (US$ 185) as part of the Home2Rome event. Along the way we’ll respond to challenges set out by the Home2Rome event organizers, do too many miles in a car that should have been scrapped years ago, drink way too much in the evenings and generally behave as if we weren’t approaching, or already in, our thirties.
We do it all in the name of charity, which is our way of apologizing to the world for not doing something more productive with our time. Multiple Sclerosis is a disabling disease that doesn’t receive enough attention and we’d like to help. This is where you come into the picture, so do visit our charity page and help support the cause. Microsoft, which runs the show merrily at Rare Ltd., have generously agreed to double our efforts, so every time you give a pound, Bill Gates will give a pound too.
Our banger of choice is an old Mercedes 190, the uncrowned king of its time. Today, the king has left the building, and all that’s left is a carcass, a wreck, a rustheap, call it what you will, we’ll still drive it proudly towards the finish line.
